Joe Farmer Recreation Center is a government building in the Allen, Texas area. The primary purpose of the center is to provide opportunities for citizens to enjoy recreational activities, improve their health, and learn new skills.

* 2 racquetball and handball courts
* 2 lane interior track (1 mile = 17 laps).
* Full-size gym with 6 basketball goals of accredited height
* Fitness room with weight machines and free weights
* Hillside auditorium and conference room
* Locker rooms
* Walking and jogging tracks
You can also rent rooms from the center for events.
Parking spaces are available for handicapped people and can be accessed with wheelchairs. Many of the facilities have smart front doors and ample parking spaces for wheelchair-accessible cars.
Joe Farmer Recreation Center offers memberships for both residents and non-residents. Adult members have full access to the facility, including the gym.

Fitness and Wellness
A well-equipped gym is available with weight machines and free weights. The center encourages safe and active lifestyles. Members over 16 years old are welcome to use the facility. If they are accompanied by an adult, 14- and/15-year-olds may use the facilities. To use the gym, you must have a membership card. Members must wear closed-toed shoes and shirts when using the gym.

Camps
Joe Farmer Recreation Camp provides a safe, well-supervised environment for children when schools are closed. There are many educational and interactive camps. They offer special occasions, field trips, crafts and arts to children. The center also offers camps for sports camps, summer vacation camps, as well as holiday camps.
The camp also offers a special camp called "Traditional Day Camp" which is for children aged 5-12 years. Camp STAR is open to children who have completed kindergarten by the time it begins and not been in seventh grade by the end of the camp.
